The other night I told my farmer boy that what I'd really love - was a tiny hand carved spoon that I could hang from my necklace. I can't remember if it was that very same night or the next morning that he asked me to close my eyes and he pressed that little spoon into my hand.

What a sweet little thing!

What better jewel could a spoon carver's wife wish for?

Other wonderful things that have been happening in my life and our lives are;

Unexpectedly stumbling across a whole pile of  my book Vantastic in the sweetest bookshop in Queenscliff, listening to Miss Indi become a better and more confident guitar player, setting up a little vintage desk in Pepper's room and watching her excitement as she set it all up, following along on farmer Bren's spoon carving love journey, taking an impromptu road-trip, spending time with farmer Bren's folks, knitting my socks and coiling my basket, long family farm walks, berry picking, salad eating...

teaching Jazzy how to use my sewing machine, eating plums fresh and warm from the trees, persevering with my book and discovering that I am finally starting to enjoy it, having a school friend over and watching our kids playing together, being in the middle of summer and having no bush-fire threat or irrigation worries due to the four inches of rain we've had since new year's, watching our first tomato ripen, face-timing my little sister on her birthday in San Fran, finding and sometimes stealing the time to blog every single day.

The most disgusting thing that's happened in my world lately took place this morning when I ran outside to the clothesline in-between rain showers to get a top off the line and stood in a pile of fresh, squishy dog-poo. Ewwww!!!!!!

I'd better go and reclaim my necklace before Miss Indi disappears with it.

I hope there's lots of wonderful in your life right now.
If you feel like it you could share a bit with us here, I'd love that!
A moment, or a taste, or an experience, any kind of wonderful will do.
Or if you'd rather share the disgusting, I'm happy with that also.

Love and kisses xoxoxoxo
